As Health & Safety Manager, Peter leads the charge in directing and implementing progressive health, safety, environmental, and quality policies that align squarely with the company’s strategic and commercial objectives—while staying fully locked in on statutory compliance and industry best practice. With over 35 years at Semiton, Peter is the longest-serving employee and a true constant through the company’s evolution. He’s grown with the business, shaped its standards, and remains a driving force behind its long-term success. He is also responsible for promoting a culture of continuous improvement including the further development of all Semiton staff, training and development. He has been embedded in safety since its infancy in the Irish Construction industry, having established and developed the safety function in the company’s early years. That early groundwork has translated into vast, hard-earned knowledge, extending well beyond day-to-day safety management into the delivery of safety training courses such as Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and more. Peter champions a culture of continuous improvement, with a strong focus on staff development, training, and upskilling across the Semiton team.
Arlene joined the Semiton team in 2013 adding to the safety dept, delivering clear, no-nonsense advice, guidance, and instruction on all Health & Safety matters to management, safety representatives, employees, and subcontractors. As the business has evolved, so has Arlene’s role. What started as a busy safety function has scaled up into a broader operational remit, now encompassing the organisation, and management of full site set-up plans, along with hands-on backup and support across both project sites and the office. In short, she’s become a key enabler—keeping people safe, projects moving, and the wheels firmly on the road.
Gezz leads the day-to-day accounting and finance needs of the company. In this position, he is responsible for managing our annual operating budget and the establishment of a sustainable financial model for Semiton's future. He has a 30 year career in the building industry both in Scotland and here in Ireland.
